Why Ceramics/Classes?

Our art and pottery classes, offered in Olivedale and at selected local schools, provide a creative, hands-on space where adults and learners of all ages can explore, play, and express themselves. The school-based ceramics curriculum is specially designed to integrate principles of art therapy and occupational therapy, offering a holistic approach to creative development.

These sessions go beyond traditional art instruction, using clay as a powerful sensory and expressive medium to support emotional well-being, fine motor skills, and self-regulation.

Ideal for children of all abilities, the classes foster confidence, creativity, and connection—nurturing the whole child in a calm, supportive environment.

Our experienced team also offers one-on-one lessons tailored for children with barriers to learning, creating personalised environments that respond to each learner’s unique needs. In addition, we run off-site workshops for schools and community groups—bringing the healing and developmental benefits of art and clay to a wide range of learners, adults, and organisations.

Individualised art tutoring is also available for distance learners completing their Cambridge IGCSE or A Level Art, providing expert guidance and support aligned with the curriculum.

For adults, we offer art and ceramic sessions including one-off workshops, private group functions, and team-building events. These creative, hands-on experiences offer a relaxing space to unwind, connect with others, and enjoy the therapeutic and expressive benefits of working with clay and mixed media—no prior experience needed.

“The creation of something new is not accomplished by the intellect but by the play instinct acting from inner necessity.”
